Can you take a look at my computer without interrupting class?
YES!!!
There are 2 methods to have your computer looked at remotely. The first option is RDP. It is not ideal to use because it will log the user out and the tech in. I may use it if I need to install software, such as, Office or SMART.
The best and ideal option is ScreenConnect. This will log the tech in and see exactly what you see on your computer. We can also black out the screen so that students are not able to see the screen (distraction, passwords, etc.). A couple other features include: send messages back and forth, file transfer from 1 machine to another, and the ability to reconnect at a later time without the user (you) having to do anything else.

What is the best way to request help?
By using the online help ticket option.
Under technology on our www.milanssd.org website, click on 'Links.' Choose the appropriate link and submit your work order. This serves as a constant reminder of the work that needs to be done in each building.

How do I login to update my teacher webpage?
The staff only button on your school website.
- Go to www.milanssd.org
- Click on 'Schools'
- Select the school you work at
- Click on 'Staff Only'
- For your user name, use your school email address
- For your password, everyone started out with the same. If you have questions on what the initial password is, email me at rogersc@milanssd.org and I will send it to you. **You may want to change your password to be the same as your email or computer login password.**
- Once you are logged in, the 'Page Settings' tab will be where you should start. Select the items you want to appear on your site.
Also, we have the the 'Help' document saved under "How To Guides" under 'Technology' on our district site.
You can always email me to setup some 1 on 1 time if you are having trouble with your website.
